- DAN: @zycouna $HRL $SPX $VIX Hi zycouna. That's a pretty general question. I understand why you're asking it -- simply put, this volatility is nervewracking. But it depends on what you're holding. Holding the right stocks (a matter of opinion, of course) is fine. But if you are nervous traders, you always run the risk of buying high and selling low. My suggestion is that you decide exactly what type of trader you are. What is your typical/preferred timeframe for holding? Once you figure that out, then you can get busy focusing on becoming the BEST trader possible for THAT timeframe. One size doesn't fit all. Hope that helps. --Dan

$HRL offers the better chart, but that also implies that it has already made a move. I have an alert set at 45.10, where I'll be happy to take a look. Earnings should come in around the end of Feb, as 3Q19 was reported on Nov 26.

If it looks like this level will hold this afternoon I'll take some more looking for a couple of bucks. Low risk defined entry. Stop at ~$41. recent low $41.04. This is low risk rather than high probability.

- Bob G: $HRL here's one to take a peek at. Trading in the channel since mid December and squeezing to 4% until breaking out of the channel and bollinger band yesterday while trading above the 50ma trading over the 200ma. Just a thought.
- TopCat1000: @Dan, I found $HRL in a couple of my scans, one of them was from your webinar the other night. By the way that was a great webinar, already created the scans and put them to use. On $HRL its squeezing with BB width 3.58% but the base is only a month. My thoughts are to wait and watch it for a while until it breaks above $46.28. It looks interesting but just not yet or take a small pilot position with a 3% stop?
