- issues: I was surprised at how many of the IBD 50 stocks were replaced! 23 out of 50 are new! That's half. I can't see any difference between the charts of those replaced with the ones they kicked off. There's no sense that I can see in the difference between the old and new. The only observation is the "new homes" were abandoned including TREX. And some of the tech were gone. - Cokeman1959: @AlexJFraser $BRO How did you determine your stop? Looks like about $37 even was the high in early August, Early Sept, and late Oct, before the big move up that cleared all three. Seems to me like it could come back to test 37 or the 50 day in the high 36s, and your stopped out with a stock that could bounce off that re-test. Not saying you’re wrong, just saying what I’m seeing.
- AlexJFraser: Here is a trade I’m looking at. If anyone has any advice or input please let me know. I’ve been looking at $BRO for a bit. The chart looks good, trading above the 3 main MAs. BB are fairly tight, and from what I can tell the company seems to be fairly good fundamentally. I’m thinking of a starter position at 37.70 with a stop below todays low of of 37.28. My thinking is its a pretty good Risk/reward in that the downside is pretty well defined. Up side, at minimum would the top BB . I’m having trouble saying what my exit would be I guess…. @scottrades @Dan The more I think about it this isn't really a Right Here Right Now trade, I'm trying to keep that in mind when I'm trading.
- AlexJFraser: @Cokeman1959 $BRO That's a good point. I was just looking at in terms of the BBs and if it traded below todays low it would prove my idea wrong and I'd be out with a minimal loss. But I was looking at the dip buying on the 27th of Nov and today it closed near the high of the day so I think I was trying to envision the trading box and it looked like 37.28 was at the bottom of the box. I may not be doing that right though. Thanks for your input.

They're not all there yet and may never materialize. What's more, volatility squeezes tend to fail in weak markets such as we have now. So, no recommendations. But you might want to monitor them for a possible trade and to see how they respond to the S&P bumping up against its #200sma again.
