- curtis: Market looks like it will be higher on open. I will be trimming some positions that didn't get stopped out yesterday. I think oil is going higher. I have $CVX looking to add at 140 on a dip I have $DVN - I think this get's bought out added $WFRD yesterday (small). Stopped out with a profit: $ARM $ELF New Buys: all small positions. $WFRD $AVGO $ADBE $MELI $META $CRS $WAB underwater $OLLI - like this with consumers feeling inflation pinch. Long Will be adding on pull backs. Long: $BA looking for $320 in 2024/25 China will be buying more aircraft. This will go higher if they don't screw this up again. Looking to Trim: $SN $AMZN

Steel Stocks- the following have been following, but with 2500+ stocks in my database, just don' t have the time: $ZEUS IIIN $CRS and $ATI (VSqueeze developing). A State of the Union play might be $ANDE, ethanol- storage, transport, producer, etc..h ... - HGIGuy: $CRS - anyone know what's up with this one? Clearly moving today to a different @drummer than other steel/iron stocks. Appears to be holding support just below 200 dma.

- Aragorn: @Pilotski - you cannot usurp my affliction. You can share it with me. The longer I do this the more self aware I become that I must have ADD. I do lots of tricks now to keep me on the straight and narrow. I have watch lists. I have charts that do a slide show whirling all over the place. I have my screens set up so I can survey as much as possible, I have a pad and pencil and record my thoughts. I make sure I check every 1/2 hour my positions to make sure I know what the hell I have. I use alerts and I have a timer set to go off every 1/2 hour to make sure i go over a checklist. So if you have $CRS as I do, I hope you have a milder case than me.

And now it has crossed the 100 mark. I think if it can stay happily over 100 it will go higher (like CAT). The high was 101 on Friday, and it's almost over there now..I bet it goes higher..well, I'm not actually betting. $CRS looks good, also with good fundies an this is closer to support, right @ resistance now from mid Jan..

... - Russ: Steel Steel is getting some attention (though attention to steel comes and goes). $STLD and $AKS are leading the way, but I won't buy them now. Several other charts are in consolidation and may move higher with the market. $X, $NUE, $TCK, $CLF, $ZEUS, $CRS, $TX $MTL is in a pullback on lighter volume with a little pickup yesterday. These may be worth watching.
- tmjska: Boeing/Airbus: a couple of related names not mentioned so far: $TIE, $RTI, $ATI, and $CRS (for Titanium), $PCP (parts, turbines)
- Russ: $TCK I've been watching $MT, $MTL, $CRS, and TCK. $TCK may be more diversified in product than the others. Currently looks good. On another theme, a few more volatility squeezes to consider include $TRN, $V, $CCJ (again), and $ASH and ARJ, two chemical companies. $TRN is interesting because, similar to $DVN, it is also just under the 200dma. It's also a transportation company (makes rail cars) and the rails perked up on Friday.
- orthodoc: @Dan and team, I know cautions about bottom picking, but what about $TIE or steel companies? Does it help these companies that their input costs go down? $CRS, etc.? I know demand may trump lower costs.
- basherbob: @Dan and Team, I did a scan looking for 3 things. Volatility #squeeze, high management ownership and high short interest. $CAB and $CRS stuck out. $CAB reports Thursday, last month the CEO bought $1.5 million worth of stock. High short interest and met earnings expectations last 3 quarters. I think they may surprise to the upside. $CRS has a fairly high short interest and an insiders have also been backing up the truck. I am not in either but they are now on my watch list. I think its worth a look. I agree with @Dan's caution in the market right now. I got my info from Yahoo. I just signed up for Worden. I love it. Nothing like it in Canada.
- Virgil25: Looking at $CRS, $TIE, & $ATI - Only Titanium plays except for the Russian Giant VSMPO AVISMA which is not traded in these markets.
