- DrScience: @sierramp $ELAN This one fell off my radar after trading it earlier in the year until I heard they were buying Bayer Animal Health. I see animal health pharmaceuticals as a steady business and the company stock reflects as much, building a base since the acquisition. P/E is still stratospheric and servicing their debt load could be tricky, especially if we get an uninformed tweet to lower the cost of pet meds! Trump L'oeil-iestas would decimate the stock before the company had a chance to respond.
- sierramp: @DrScience $ELAN I agree with all you stated. Tweets are a threat for the market in general too. I don't pay much attention to news but rather how a given stock is performing. $ELAN could be at the end of a zig within the trend. I will be watching for a move above recent resistance to add.

- lostsheep: $ELAN - after closing above the recent 7mon trading range and a 3 day pullback to the test the top of that range resistance is now support and confirmed by a nice move higher yesterday. ath at 37.61 when it began trading in 10/18. The daily 8 ema currently rules this chart.

- Mitchell: 6/13/2019 Trading Notes $CTL - on pace for the first weekly close above the 10-week EMA (50-day EMA) for the first time since October (high yielder with a 9.29% dividend) $IPO - the IPO ETF is close to breaking out above the nearly $3 trading range that has been in place for 3 months. $ELAN, $OKTA, $VICI, $ATUS, $SPOT, and $UBER are the 7 largest holdings in the ETF. $MRK - seeing sellers step in on the test of major resistance at $84. The uptrend remains intact, but I would wait for a lower risk entry closer to the high $70's, $80 level. $NSC - trading near the bottom of the $194-$207 range (close to the 50-day EMA). Earnings are due out on 7/23. $VLO - retesting prior support (current resistance) at the $78 level. I'd wait for confirmation of sellers stepping in before considering a bearish position.

- DrScience: @Henry #ZTS Little brother $ELAN taking the same dive. Shortage of vets not helping the situation. Gotta have enough docs to see our fur-friends and fur-children and prescribe the (just as overpriced as to humans) supplements, pain pills and life-saving drugs.

In a downtrend since 9/18. now above 200 ema and downtrend looks to be broken. under accumulation since early Feb. in a series of higher lows and highs. up 10 % in 3 days. Maybe the next $ZTS. still a lot of work to do to get there

- DrScience: $ELAN broke higher but sold off today in the second day of trading its full complement of outstanding shares. $LLY's hoarded stake -- 80% -- was off-the-market until yesterday, and $LLY shareholders who took the deal got 4.5:1 in the divestiture. RHRN, the stock is HTB, and the shorts aren't convinced that the stock is worth a 112 P/E Ratio. (For comparison, $ZTS has a 32 P/E , but I'm hoping $ELAN's revenue growth can expand and push shares price to $36-37.)

- DrScience: @mradams0621 $LLY $ELAN Both stocks are HTB as $LLY unloads their stock position in $ELAN. Lots of hedging on bets in the future of both companies. I'm thinking $ELAN will have similar success as $ZTS after it's spin-off. Holding my trade from Thursday, but a move below 30.25ish stops me out.
