17. $CBMG – W ... - Bogeyboy: @DAN, stopped out on $ICUI today. 6% loss. With all due respect, these growth stocks are not kind to me. I am doing my best to follow the mentoring plan but I have experienced losses on most of them.
- phgruver: @Bogeyboy $ICUI Not @Dan, but I can attest that these past 2 weeks have been brutal for the growth stocks. Many of them are Chinese names, that are getting bounced around with all this trade talk, but others are just small(er) cap stocks that tend to do more poorly when the markets are restless, as they have been recently. I've reduced my holdings (taking some losses) and raised cash. Now comes the hard part, waiting for better entries, because I'm just itching to buy something....

While I'd love to see any of my stocks higher, I have no problem with it just moving sideways and gradually building up some support. The uptrend remains intact. $ICUI -- also just meandering sideways. Uptrend is intact. $GLOB -- I don't like the three days of selling on Friday/Mon/Tues. But the stock has found some buyers, and it's also still working...though again, I don't like that three day selling spree. Hope that helps. Dan

I missed out on $THRC as I bot hit with dragon fly flash sales and then gave up on the stock. This time I got stopped out on a portion of my position in both $GLOB and $CPRT. I segregated stops into three prices. In past it would have been 100% stop. The three days of losses in $GLOB has me concerned, $CPRT is red four out of last five days, (counting today) and $ICUI is leaking lower this week too. Patience is not my strength, but trying to do better. I trade too often and need to slow down and let stocks work, I know that. Thanks again.

- DAN: @shoredriver 2532 is the 2018 low from February. I could see that happening. If that's his downside level, then what he's really calling for is another 5% drop in the S&P..which would essentially mean that 2018 would be a flat year of consolidation...which might be a top...or just a higher base. Very important to focus much less on the overall market, and more on the stocks that you own, or want to buy. Stocks are down today. If you've got a stock that's up, then you're in the right places. Look at $ATHM, $CPRT, $DOCU, $ICUI, $ALGN, $TWTR, $PRLB. They're all up today. So you know where money is flowing into. Those are some of the stocks you should be owning (lmany of them are already on the GSL)

- unremitting3: $LOGM $EBS $ICUI This is an article about how analysts evaluate small cap vs. large cap companies. Sounds like the S&P SmallCap was the place to be over the last year. As usual, Bloomberg presents palpable facts and leaves you with some plausible hypotheses. The three tickers may still have some upside. I have not done my own eval but with these kind of returns, you can't say all small caps, especially the bio 'ts' are a gamble. The skinny is to find the small cap analysts who have the 'stars' ratings and have a trust factor and follow them. Just as you must see who attends the big cap Cloud/computer conf calls and make the 'recommendations' so you can eliminate what most of them say. It is coming out of a volatility #squeeze, up 6 of the last 7 days, with good volume. $ICUI has 20% short interest. Small cap, somewhat thinly traded. I think it has possibilities though I might be a little late to the party. Any comments or suggestions? I would be tempted to buy some with a very tight stop.
