  • sgiseller: $PAYS 2nd day of a monster move after year long decline
  • traderbren: $PAYS - getting close to taking out the opening rotation after getting taken out back and shot this morning. NP, but a classic BB bounce trade.
  • Yuls: $GPRO $PAYS $ZI $TER $CARR nice set ups/breakouts
  • phgruver: As Paul Harvey used to say, "Just what, not why...." $PAYS rose $.20 today. For a low $$ stock, that's 2%. After the close, it's gone up another $.31, or 3%. They don't report earnings until Aug 10, so I don't know what's driving this, but it's worth noting that it's in a Volatility Squeeze, not a supper tight one, about 12%, but it looks like it's about to bust out to the upside. It's hard to do a meaningful measured move, but the last pop, on 6/25, was $3.45, so adding that to today's close, takes it to $12.99. Obviously, there's resistance at $10.93, the last higher high, and again at the monthly R2 at $11.48.
  • mercury6s: $PAYS... testing my patience.. but holding Friday's support... massive volume in on Thursday
  • Hemal: $PAYS, may want to keep an eye on this one. Loose squeeze near 50/200 sma. May benefit from Wirecard's collapse. I have a position that I have been holding for a while a small one.
  • traderbren: $PAYS - pushing out above upper BB and the 200 dma
  • stairm01: @Hemal $PAYS Nice catch! Thank you. Long stock.
  • sgiseller: $pays moooving up
  • scottrades: @sgiseller $pays Woah..
  • kbrowe: @sgiseller $pays Finally getting some attention. Would like to see it hold and close above the $10 level, would like to be a new support level going forward. Holding a small underwater position.
  • traderbren: @scottrades $pays - stock is HTB...major short squeeze in the works! ;-)
  • stairm01: @sgiseller $pays Thanks again to @HEMAL at 10:59 for pointing this one out. Great move. Been long stock since then.
  • Bwhitty: @scottrades $pays It wants to keep going ill chase it. Above old high on 2/02 of 10.36
  • mercury6s: @Hemal $PAYS ..thanks for sharing @Hemal
  • mradams0621: $PAYS up bigly with volume, long from much higher unfortunately.
  • mercury6s: $PAYS took a little at the VWAP
  • stairm01: @mercury6s $PAYS I re-entered at $9.72 on this pullback. Exited at $9.97 earlier with a 15% gain today.
  • AlexH: $PAYS up 40% today on 20 times average volume, and highest volume in the history of the stock. Doesn't a move like this is usually followed by a takeover news? or not necessarily?
  • kbrowe: $PAYS getting some love today.
  • scottrades: @kbrowe $PAYS I haven't looked at that for a while. Nice tight Bbands. Watch the 200 Day overhead.
  • phgruver: @kbrowe $PAYS The recent high was $8.45, and then there $8.75 a month earlier. If it gets through them, as @Scottrades pointed out, the obvious resistance at $8.84 (the 200dma). Tough sledding, but it may be worth a flier. Their business model is still intact, and they've been generating an eps of $.05/share all year. Definitely not a high momentum stock, but maybe a sleeper....
  • AlexH: $PAYS continue to squeeze higher
  • AlexH: $PAYS continue to squeeze higher on a higher volume
  • Samik: ...
    2. A few of my stocks are down. Am in no hurry. Are any of these promising so that I buy more & lower my cost of purchase (something that you dont usually encourage but still asking) $CC, $PAYS, $PRFT, $STRL, $CYBR, $KEY, $COG, $VNOM, $SINA.

    Do ta ...
  • sgiseller: $PAYS above the 50 day
  • traderbren: $PAYS - bearish engulfing candle today. NP
  • rj7150: $PAYS Paysign reported earnings before the open yesterday and held a conference call at noon eastern time. There was nothing negative of significance on the call in my opinion. Is this action short covering? I have a small position from before the big dump.
  • rverkamp: $PAYS probably to late to buy. @DAN mentioned on Wed. Should have bought when it broke yesterdays high this morning
  • kbrowe: @rverkamp $PAYS Finally reported earnings this morning, a couple of days late. Paysign: FY GAAP EPS of $0.14 misses by $0.01. Revenue of $34.67M (+48.0% Y/Y) in-line.
  • phgruver: @rverkamp $PAYS $PAYS is dumpster diving, but it is up 30% so far today. Low $$ stocks move huge percentages, off fairly small moves, dollar wise. I have a small position in $PAYS, but I have no real insight. Check that, they released their 2019 annual report before the open. It looks pretty good! EPS is $.16/share vs $.06 in 2018, Revenues are up 48%, Gross profit is 56% of revenue vs 49% last year. EBITDA was $10.1M, an increase of 106%. As for guidance, " 2020 Financial Guidance -- Although the company has not determined there to be any material adverse impact from the COVID-19 outbreak to date, the company has determined to refrain from providing 2020 financial guidance at this time, to allow for further evaluation. "
  • DAN: ...
$PAYS -- chasing was a mistake. Good job in the forum for refraining from doing so.
$PAYC -- The anti-COVID stock. Helps growing businesses manage employees and equipment. Not much use for that now.

  • kbrowe: @Wolf #Earnings $PAYS The company announced last night another delay in its year-end earnings results. Mid-month PaySign had already announced a delay in posting results in order to provide for more time for audited results, after a short-seller's note late last year led to increased scrutiny.
  • AlexH: @mradams0621 $PAYS $ADBE sorry to hear that, good job getting out
  • scottrades: @mradams0621 $PAYS $ADBE Pays is a little extended right now. It's hard to buy in this market intraday.
  • mradams0621: @AlexH $PAYS $ADBE Wrong. Got in late, doubled down lower, stoped out at the low of day. Poster child for poor entry, poor risk management, poor exit, but a great lesson for why I should not day trade. I can literally sing along with @Dan, every work of the #59min trader coarse. I sing it with him, his every word, after listening to it over 50 times. I know what to do. I know how to do this. But do I execute? No. Knowledge without Discipline is a dangerous cocktail.
  • spmeyers: @mradams0621 $PAYS $ADBE #59min you might try using a defined checklist that you go through before taking an entry -- these criteria need to be met; slows down the impulses that can override reason
  • mradams0621: @AlexH Ask Scott what he thinks about $PAYS. Kinda sorta looks like the type of price action he likes, but I could be wrong. I'm just paper trading it today. Already lost my max limit on an $ADBE trade. Bought the top, sold the bottom, again. So I'm wrong a lot. Edit: and wrong again. In at VWAP bounce, out on VWAP FAIL = trade fail. It least it was just a paper trade, so thankful for that.
  • scottrades: Remember when we traded $PAYS at $16? I sure do. It's now 3.77. Wow.
  • HGIGuy: $PAYS $WORK $ULTA Stocks of interest on SMM lately that report earnings after the bell tomorrow.
  • Hemal: @Ringo $PAYS This has been a mistake for me. I never intended to buy this one and yet called a audible as I did saw this one again on strategy session. Then as always I struggled to take a loss so I did not put a stop. Bought on 11/11/19 at a cost basis of $11.84 and am still holding this one. I am not holding as I want to be right just holding because I do not need this money right now and at least I did adhere to my position size (which is significant improvement - thanks to Dan for drilling it in my brain) Fundamentals look okay and technical's are improving in my opinion so I intend to hold for now
  • DAN: @Hemal $PAYS Hi Hemal. Sorry that happened to you. It DOES happen to everyone at one time or another in their trading career. I agree with your decision to hold it. At first glance, it's even something I'd consider buying...though not without a lot more research and asking myself this question: "I have thousands of stocks to choose from. Is there a reason why this stock is the one I'm choosing rather than any of the others?" I have a feeling that you're gonna get back to your entry point (and no, don't average down.). But deciding to sell it now would be an emotional/psychological decision rather than a decision based on what the stock is doing. Thanks for posting, Hemal. Dan
  • scottrades: Volume coming into $PAYS
  • Hemal: $PAYS Just bringing this one to everyone's attention as 50sma has been resistance and this one is trying to poke its head above it. Still under 200sma. Earnings date not announced yet. 21.5 days to cover as per MS.
  • Ringo: @HERMAL $PAYS - I bought some around $9 bucks just for long term hold.
  • mradams0621: @baronp0329 $PAYC ??? wrong ticker? or just wishful thinking? FD: Long and underwater Edit: ok you are on the right ticker, but I"m not. I'm looking at $PAYS which is not a good one.
  • baronp0329: @mradams0621 $PAYC $PAYS Haha. No problem. Was about to reply to you with a PAYC chart to show 8d and 20d.
  • mradams0621: @baronp0329 $PAYC $PAYS Like yours a bunch better. Maybe time to give up on mine and make the switch to something that is working. Then mine will find a bottom and reverse for sure.
  • mradams0621: $PAYS Schwab shows 33 days to cover. That's a bunch of short interest. Fido shows shares as "HARD TO BORROW", with est. ann. interest rate 18% (is this a lot? I have no clue, don't do shorting or pay interest on anything) and show availability is limited. And the Fly on the Wall lists PAYS among others in a post "Largest borrow rate increases among liquid names. If all this info adds up to the reality that a whole bunch of folks are trying to beat this stock down to nothing, then I need to give up and sell (for a very large loss) or I can gamble and hope for a short squeeze to bail me out. Medium sized position in LTH account down 24%. What would you do??? I'm thinking it's time to employ Dan's 1% rule of thumb.
  • phgruver: @mradams0621 $PAYS An interesting conundrum. TDA shows the short interest to be 37% of the float. It also show that institutions only own 31% of the float. At the same time the ResearchTeam has an "accumulate" rating on it, TheStreet has ...
  • mradams0621: @phgruver $PAYS Appreciate your thoughts. Wish it were knowable when to expect the shorts to cover. They have done well but $PAYS is getting cheaper and will attract buyers at some point. Almost down to the first qtr. consolidation prior to the parabolic run up in July. Maybe give it just a little longer. But I can't listen to Dan and Scott scream forever about holding losers. And they are correct. It sure ain't in mark up. Thanks again.
  • Ringo: $PAYS @SCOTT - What is your take on this? I have no position just curious what you think?
  • scottrades: @Ringo $PAYS Lower Highs and Lower Lows.
  • traderbren: @Ringo $PAYS - not @Scott, but my 2 cents is: wait for it to clear the 50 dma as its failed to push through on numerous occasions. It you are looking to get an early cheat (small) position to keep it on your list, then take a stab here as it has pushed above the 20 dma and 8 ema, plus ADX is getting closer to crossing positive, but that could all change if it heads lower. Personally, I wouldn't touch it here. Just sit out waiting for the next set of waves, and drop in on the right set up, for a great ride. The right wave will come along.
  • mradams0621: @scottrades $PAYS True, but but but if it has one more strong day and gets above the 50, which will also be a break of the upper trend line, could this not work? Yes the glass is more than half empty, but I need to see it half full. Long from higher based on weekly chart
  • scottrades: @mradams0621 $PAYS You're right, but you're also anticipating a breakout that hasn't happened yet.
  • Hemal: $PAYS This one was a mistake (Down 17%). My goal is to start capping loses this year at no more than 5%. So far I have been better. This may be turning the corner. Position size was appropriate for me hence didn't blow up my account.
  • mradams0621: $PAYS triple bottom bounce. wishing this to be the bottom. long from higher
  • phgruver: @mradams0621 $PAYS Dumpster diving again? This is a pretty big move, on high volume, but It needs to get back above $10 to be interesting.
  • mradams0621: $PAYS back down to support-triple bottom- highly shorted- if $9.00 holds will the shorts cover? If support fails, next stop could be $7.00. Place your bets.
  • mradams0621: $PAYS Back above vwap. wishing for a short squeeze. 21 days to cover
  • scottrades: My (Merry) notes for today: $SPY Flat on low volume. As expected. $QQQ Ditto $GDX Nice move, great volume. Let’s goooooold! Watch these miners: $FNV $KL $GOLD $PAAS $AG $SSRM $INMD Total bummer. Stay away and watch for it to reset. $UBER I have some Uber. Tightening range, one to watch. Requests: $INGR Request. $PE Working but looks like it wants to consolidate sideways. $OKTA Support at the 200 Day. Printing Higher Lows $PAYS Still rejecting at the major moving averages. $ZNGA Nice range and strong close today on low volume. Watch above 6.35 $PRSP Daily Higher Low. Not sure your entry but the weekly chart is still in trend. $NVST Trading like and IPO. I would have a partial stop at LOD. $APRE In a strong industry group not doing anything wrong. $DEA Strong uptrend, nice divy, watch for consolidation here stock is up 25% out of the base.
  • sierramp: @scottrades $SPY $QQQ $GDX $FNV $KL $GOLD $PAAS $AG $SSRM $INMD $UBER $INGR $PE $OKTA $PAYS $ZNGA $PRSP $NVST $APRE $DEA Thank you Scott. Merry Christmas!
  • scottrades: @mogo $PAYS Still just kinda drifting sideways.
  • mogo: @scottrades $PAYS Every time I get psyched up for a breakout it drops back into its range.
  • mogo: $PAYS finally ready to break out?

$PAYS -- staging a rally (Look at 15-minute chart), but still below key moving averages, which makes this unpalatable for me.
$IBP -- Sold before earnings. Now the post-earnings drift is stabilizing and this might be buyable soon.

  • slschuler: $PAYS $LABU #Would someone comment on these for me? Thx.
  • shoredriver: @slschuler $PAYS $LABU #Would ..try adding @DAn or @scott.....
  • scottrades: @slschuler $PAYS is rebounding off the lows, but didn't offer you a clean entry. If you're buying here you'd want to use the Low Of The Day to define your risk. $LABU I think the last good entry came Friday when it closed above the 200 Day for the first time in a longe time. You're chasing here so again, you'd have to use the LOD as a defined level of risk.
  • xjonez727: $PAYS up again
  • Sher: $PAYS - Up 5.42%!
  • wijimmy: @Sher $PAYS ..... It's a Roulette Wheel ..... {" Changing $100 " }
  • xjonez727: is $PAYS closing at the high....or trying?
  • Herb: @DAN. Nice stop you placed recently on $PAYS
  • DAN: @Herb $PAYS Thanks Herb. It's a balance. In my personal trading, I have a tendency to place very tight stops that will often get triggered on just a normal pullback. And then I'm out of the stock when it moves higher within the trend. It's something I'm working on. I review the charts of all my trades to see my tendencies. But if you keep the stop too loose, you'll take bigger losses. I think I struck the right balance on $PAYS.
  • indigo1948: @DAN $PAYS - I have a similar issue as I have taken the position that 3 per cent is my maximum loss anymore. I do get stopped out more frequently but in reviewing my trades I often find the stops to be well placed. I know some positions will bounce and leave me behind but my portfolio strength is much better longer term. Thanks for your mentoring.
  • xjonez727: $PAYS just jumped up
  • phgruver: @xjonez727 $PAYS WOW!!! It's up to $9...! Actually, if this holds, or continues, this could mark a tradable bottom. This is a heavy volume day, and the heaviest volume was at 10:45, when it turned. One to watch....
  • xjonez727: $PAYS maybe a small short squeeze? Ask getting hit a lot
  • coldevinc: @indigo1948 $PAYS I think a 3% loos on a position is a very good Idea. I run on and 8% gain to me also, then I put in trailing stops and move them up if I am lucky to be able to do that.
  • phgruver: @xjonez727 $PAYS Possible. As of 10/31, 31% of the float was held short. On the other hand, on a low $$ stock like $PAYS, $.09 is a 1% move. This is why low $$ stocks trade so wildly. One $, here is over 10%, so don't expect too much.
  • success: @DAN $PAYS been looking at all my trades . . tight stops but I am making the mistake that I put them on as a trailing stop loss so though I may reduce my risk I am getting stopped out in the middle of the move . . i.e. $PAYC stopped out at the very end of the day on 11/18 and have missed the rest of the run . . I know I am doing something wrong as I see this occurring quite frequently and I am losing out on profits . . of course, should have gone back in and bought it again with the move being confirmed . .but missed it . .
  • kbrowe: @xjonez727 $PAYS (PAYS +0.2%) falls as much as 6.2% after Marcus Aurelius Value shorts the stock. "We are short Paysign and believe the company bears the markings of yet another stock promotion set to end in failure,"
  • mradams0621: $PAYS Yes I'm that guy @Dan talked about that is still holding this piece of crap after he warned us to sell it. Not proud of it, but I own it. So I know well what I should have done, but didn't, and now must struggle with what to do next. This little move up breaks the short term downtrend at a strong support level. I want to double down RHRN and try to reduce my loss with a stop below todays low of day. But that would require breaking the rule about doubling down on losers. So I guess I'm just stuck in another hope trade. In aviation this is called the evolution of the error chain. One mistake leads to more of the same and ends in disaster. Wish this game was not so hard to play. Stop in place, praying for some pain relief.
  • DAN: @indigo1948 $PAYS Sure. Happy to help. Just remember that 3% is really really tight...and it absolutely does NOT work if your entry is less than perfect. If you're chasing at all, or buying incomplete bases, you are very likely to get stopped out. ...
  • bigbartabs: @DAN $PAYS $LULU ... I just looked at Investopedia. I think you might have misspelled premature stopulation. I can't find it.
  • Titanguy: $PAYS stopped out. $MDT bought on bounce $110.92 patiently waiting for breakout to add. Beat top & bottom line today.
  • bRobert: @Titanguy $PAYS $MDT $120+ high base target 1 C&H like OR breakout/retest/phase 2 Buy the bounce Long calls from below Premier Blue chip medical equipment beast
  • CraigReynolds: $PAYS setting up for a possible 59-minute trade in the morning. Not sure what is happening, just watching the last 5 down days after close to break out.
  • Herb: @CraigReynolds $PAYS Glad I got stopped out on Friday
  • DAN: ...
$PAYS -- you should NOT be in this. If you are, you violated some key principles of trading:
    Why are you buying RHRN?
What has to happen before you know you’re wrong?
    Stick with your risk profile.
$FLT - Breakout today. Alert triggered today. ...
  • Humboldt: @DAN $PAYS perfect! Thank you so much. I'm still setting up my stock picking process and pulling out the crap that I dont really need to look at as I go along. This has given me much insight.
  • phgruver: ...
$PAYS is another mess, but with a different view. Again, the fundamentals are good, but the double top, back in July and August, is a concern. Since then, earnings, on 9/9 established a bottom, with clear, definitive reversal bar on 10/10. Since ...
