- issues: Shorting $QDEL with buy stop TS 5%. Looking for more like this. I remember ol' Doc bRobt was the "shorting" king! Never forget his incredible short of $SAM. I think this market is a bear trap, one-day wonder, and something to consider shorting. THoughts?

- scottto_2: @Kharrison67 $QDEL - Don't count as one of the smart people but here's my read anyways: Technically, the chart looks quite good. Trigger at $220, opens up a move to $270, filling the gap. Next trigger would be $300, opening up a move to $450. This is all WEEKLY stuff, so not going there immediately. Fundamentally, they clearly benefitted from CoViD. As it is likely to be entering the history books in the next 12 months or so, the question is what do they have in their diagnostics pipeline to support their CoViD boosted valuation? I have no idea, not my gig. If homework determines that they have a robust plan developing future diagnostics, then those valuations may be obtainable. If this was just a CoViD flash in the pan, then probably not a lot of gas left in the tank.

You are describing a "rising wedge" pattern, which usually leads to a bearish reversal. The declining rate of higher highs is counteracted with and increasing rate of higher lows as sellers don't wait as long to bail out.

Stock rests in very tight range for minimum 4 days (no max) and then breaks out. Usually comes back to test break out area before on to "greatness." I have made some serious $$$ using this pattern.
