- tartan: Last week I posted about the Stochastic Indicator and playing a game with oversold situations I used $PFSI as an example and said the 100 ema was my target It hit and got above yesterday and was little weak this morning and I sold Made money but was not FUN money Poker put me into $SSYS it's Stochastic was under 50 for a couple of months so I bot in and also sold this morning made money but was not FUN money I sold the May 85 puts in $PENN last weak I have 4.25 in them Trading around 3.00 so I am up but it has been tough money $PENN Stochastic has been under 40 for over a month now $PENN is still not acting well but I will continue to hold, but not enjoying I am not a fan of my GAME Probably not a game I will continue to play

- Pokersmith: @tartan $PFSI $SSYS Thanks...honestly, I was actually looking at the 50sma of the weekly. Which it HAS retaken, and now going into the breach of the 200 sma on daily. Look at the low on 3/05 @ 21.03. This has retraced a bunch. And this might not be the time ( market conditions ) But the risk reward set up is too great. Wish me luck

- Douglas: @cshanggu $Xone $SSYS $NNDM I have been holding $NNDM since December and since the initial break out above $3 back in October it has mainly moved along the 8 day EMA and respected the 21 day EMA using the latter as a spring board for some big moves. This is my biggest position by far and it can be hard to watch $17 - $13 swings in price; however, I will hold until the stock changes its nature and really violates the 21 day EMA. Like @Dan says though entry is everything and my entry has been what has allowed me to hold this stock through the volatility.
- Douglas: @cshanggu $Xone $SSYS $NNDM Also @bRobert and @Dan responded to @Junaid posting about $TLRY earlier. Both had really good points about selling in stages, 1/4 here , 1/4 there, setting stops for different levels and never closing your entire position all at once. This is something I have been trying to learn how to do to effectively take profits and not miss out on a big move after selling.

- tbsy: @teacher5 $DDD $SSYS Yeah, same exact thing happened with both for me in 2009. Held some for the roughly 10 years I didn’t trade. I think they made probably about 1% a year. I let my expectations for the technology override what stocks were actually doing. Another lesson to learn. I also missed the actual move. It can be tough to eliminate both your enthusiasm and your fear from trading in order to calmly assess the stock.

- phgruver: OK, I ran a scan for stocks that are over $10 that are down 10% or more, this morning. I got 11: $ADES, $CSIQ, $I, $IIVI, $IRBT, $JKS, $MOS, $REPL , $SSYS, $TWOU, $VIPS. Most of these are down on earnings, 3 are solar stocks.

- DrScience: @Sher $SSYS Arrrrgh! Holding long options on a slow trickle down, only to be rescued by outstanding earnings release... Reminds me of a Thomas Paine quote. You might get your wish on the more than one-day wonder. The stock is drawing to an inside straight -- filling the gap. On the weekly chart, I see $28 - 30 in the cards (which is a bust in Blackjack), but whether investors raise the stakes quickly enough in the next 6 weeks is the question. Ante up!

- DAN: @shoredriver $SSYS These 3D stocks have been really running. Makes sense that there will be selling. Careful on buying this. Stocks that are steeply extended before an earnings report and trade down are likely to spark more selling. What was in demand on the way up is not in such demand on the way down.
- woodman: $SSYS doing what the other #3Dprinters did. An immediate drop on earnings only to be bought up immediately after. The others -- $DDD $VJET $XONE - have, thus far, all kept moving up thereafter.

- woodman: #3DPrinters - I don't see why $XONE can't get back to $16 resistance in the relative short term based on what $DDD and $SSYS have done. By the way, look at the weekly and monthly charts of the 3D printers. No question these have moved a lot in a very short time. So, caution is definitely warranted short term. But with these weekly and monthly charts, it look like there has been a long basing in these stocks and now they are moving back up.
- Henry: @hokie Welcome to the forum. We preface our stock symbols with the $ sign. That does 3 things, makes the symbol searchable, turns red or green depending on the price action and brings up a chart if you click on it. The generic question of what do you think of XYZ doesn't usually generate much of response. Tell us something about the company and what you like about it right now. In the case of $SYS I can't find a company with that symbol $SSYS all the 3D stocks are hot now. They were cult stocks before, they may be again. I got burned before, they can go up without me now.
- woodman: $SSYS - Crazy as it seems, I bought it this afternoon on the theory that it is doing exactly what #3DPrinters - $DDD $VJET $XONE - did upon announcing earnings - i.e. dive at first them bounce back for a nice green candle. Each then moved higher thereafter. That remains to be seen with $SSYS. I went small in case I am wrong. Yesterday I added to $XONE in that flag.
