Here's what has happened so far: $STAA is up 71% year to date and vision is getting worse not better partly due to folks living longer and the damage blue light does to the eyes. The other i hold is $UNH but that one's only up 19.05%. i think that when we add in the surgery centers that chose to be closed, it makes sense for me to go 75/25. 75% $STAA and 25% UNH.LONG Oh, Sh---t, i keep on forgetting to say IMO. - Doug1: @debeers $STAA I looked at the stock and it surely looks good. IBD has a rating of 88 on it as well. It is green in the right places but the P/E ratio is 1039. I thought this might be a mistake but it doesn't appear to be. I checked Yahoo and Finviz. Just wanted your thoughts on that. Their earnings were at $0.12 vs earnings of $17 for UNH. UNH has a P/E of 24. Thanks and I enjoy your posts!
- Pokersmith: @Doug1 $STAA DO yourself a favor and pull up a 5 year monthly chart...
- Doug1: @pokersmith $staa Done! It is a truly amazing chart. I just saw the 1039 P/E. I'm not used to seeing that on anything other than a high flying tech stock. $LHCG has done very well (not as well as STAA) but the P/E on it is 56. Just asking and thanks.

- bullmoose: $STAA - Nice bounce over the last two days. I like the chart on this one. A high base, a bounce off both the 50 and 20, and a weekly chart that's consolidating in the winner's circle and running up the 20-week average.

$STAA is also holding up nicely, having bounced off the 50-day EMA on Tuesday. The 20-day SMA is giving it some resistance.
$WWWW is one tech that is also holding up but not at a great buy point.
I forgot to mention my steel stocks...AKS and ... - bullmoose: $STAA - You're welcome. It's been a nice trade. Wish I owned more. Don't forget the three-day rule. I'm taking a little profit today.
- bullmoose: $STAA (@joebob) - I haven't set my stop yet. Today's low is right at the 20-day EMA, but the 20-day SMA is a little lower. I'll probably set it under that. But I'll raise it to just above my purchase price if it goes higher tomorrow. I'll also look to trim tomorrow on a continued rally as part of adherence to the three-day rule. I will, however, keep a small amount in my portfolio with a stop under yesterday's low as a placeholder to reload on the next pullback.
- joebob: $STAA (@Bullmoose)- Thank you. Big help.
- bullmoose: Several Nice Setups - Now that I'm sitting on a huge cash position after trimming more stocks (mainly $EMC, PANL and ZAGG), and have risen stops on others (AAPL, $KH, SLW) I am eying several stocks that have real nice chart setups. Rather than buy now (some are breakout stocks like $CTXS that have had decreasing volume as they are breaking out), I'm going to monitor them for pullbacks to higher support levels. Here are a few tickers: $HBAN, $HCBK, $WFC, $QCOR, $MITK, $SAP, $SYK, $STAA, $HOS, $GWR, KSU. I still like $AAPL, $EMC, $CTXS and PANL too. All on pullbacks, though I have nibbled at a few just to get in the game.
- ridgerunr: $STAA could go, nice chart, have small. everything for trade at top of range here
- bullmoose: $STAA - Huge breakout. this is one of the stocks I had bought that I was monitoring. I like the consolidation. It's not tight enough to be considered a #squeeze though, so I'll be taking some profits, letting the rest run, and looking to re-load at the 50.
- bullmoose: $STAA - Taking some profits. Can't pass up locking in an 11% one day gain.
- highcotton: $STAA @Sumo Thanks again for bringing this one to the forum when you did. I've been looking for a little pullback to add to my position but it won't relent.
- Sumo: $HL I am watching this stock at an inflection point still in $STAA starter position DZZ (double short Gold) long from yesterday Sumo
- Sumo: $STAA -for the spec traders in here nice setup if the market goes strong alarm set at 6.99 a momentum break out play
- Sumo: $STAA - nice entry point @ 7.05 with a tide stop under 7.00
- scottto: ADCT - Sorry have to share. Found this stock this weekend looking for stocks without a lot of overhead resistance. Bought a starter position yesterday and woke up to a huge profit today on Tyco's takeover. This always happens to other people, not me....until today. FYI, other stocks I found in my screen: $CVTI, RURL, $STAA, SPEC, ARBA, $GSOL Have a green day...
- jmcgee66: $STAA 15 min gap strategy works again! Jumped on $STAA at $2.79 when it came back close to the open price, sold for $3.20. @Dan is da man!
