- rck89: @DrScience $TSL Morning Doc - I've got a high class problem that I need your help on . I bought decent sized position in $NUGT Aug 5 calls at $14.21 db. The stock ran up sharply so I sold a $NUGT Aug 5 170's against my positions @$5.18 cr....so my cost basis is $9.03. I tried to close the position out this a.m at 23.05 and missed it. So what to do now? Should I just sit and "hope" that my 170's expire worthless? Or roll the entire position out a couple of weeks? Or what? I think 170 is a near term top. Your usual sage thoughts, please. Thanks.

First this was y rev strat hammer list I prepared Thursday night ( I do this every day ) $DNR $DVN $EPS $ERX $GPOR $JEC $NTAP $SMH $TSL $WDC $XLE $XOP
DNR DVN EPS ERX GPOR JEC NTAP TSL WDC XLE XOP - All went RSHU - rev strat hammer up. They also had ... - Jorma: @Aragorn $DNR $DVN $EPS $ERX $GPOR $JEC $NTAP $SMH $TSL $WDC $XLE $XOP - of these, I like 3 of them the best: $JEC, beautiful 3 bar pullback to rising 8d ma, had closed Thursday right at 200d ma, then Friday gapped up to open at 8d ma and ran from there on good volume, all indicators turning up; $GPOR had huge selloff on volume over 21 million on 3/10, but it formed a great hammer, closed only down .02 from open, so it showed great resiliency, followed on Friday with gap up and nice gain on volume over 6 million, and had a nice signal cross on MACD; finally, $WDC good pattern, and rising from nice base that began in late January. As always, thanks for your work in pointing out these prospects.

I notice that you often post news, and seem to base some trades on news, and if that works for you, more power to you, it just never worked for me as a method of trading. There are many styles of trading, and each of us contributes our efforts, and I appreciate your work to bring your perspective to the Forum. It sounds like you are having a good year, keep at it @champ!

Here's a little more news that came out in the AH's about $GPOR on Friday...S&P affirmed their corporate credit rating at B+ on increased production and reserves: outlook now stable. This is really good news for this stock now going forward....don't have to worry about a secondary common stock offering because it is over and is now priced out on 3/10 and you can see that news on the chart.This should be a strong stock now because a lot of risk was eliminated on 3/10 and confirmed by the credit rating by the S&P on 3/11. I will be a buyer because of your post...on any good entry and I now will be watching the chart.... Thanks.

And it never hurts to understand the news, so I didn't mean to imply that I ignore it, I usually just don't actively seek it out, because I think others more powerful will know it well before me! But certainly for overall market sentiment, etc., news is helpful and certainly impactful for developing plans.

- bullmoose: $TSL - Keep an eye on $TSL too. This is another stock I have trimmed in the past week. It had broken above the 200-day out of a small squeeze and is now threatening a Phase 3 bounce off the 200-day support line.
- DAN: @asinger12 $TAN $CSIQ $TSL Look at CSIQ and TSL. Those are the two that are shwoing potential. The rest of the sector really isn't doing much. I was surprised to see TAN up so much (about 1% which, on such a red day, is really impressive). FSLR, SPWR, JASO, SCTY all down? So this is really a "stock specific" move. But glad we were watching $TAN.

The charts of stocks like $SPWR, $FSLR, $SUNE, $TSL and $SCTY to name but a few all have pretty bearish price action and technicals and of course look fairly similar. Most of these are down another 1% of more PM on the $SPWR release. - DrChucky: $TSL, $YGE - Chinese solar stocks up 8 and 7% respectively.
- bullmoose: $SOL - I added some of this stock this morning after a nice reversal yesterday. Good follow-through on the day, unlike $JKS and $TSL.

- DrChucky: $TSL - testing 15. that's a breakout above prior resistance back to april. long.

- Edgarzb: @meched49. $TSL I got stopped out at break even on this name today. I am stepping away to see how it behaves at the 200 sma. I see no reason to buy it back on this Friday especially if it is the below that key MA. It looks like it wants to go lower to me. It is definetly not trending up.

- bullmoose: $AKS @ zguy - I own it but didn't buy any more. I like that it made a higher low but breakouts haven't been working too well lately. They've been very short term and then pull back considerably. It happened to me on $HIMX, $GS, $IDIX, $TSL, and several others. So I'm a bit gun shy right now. I'm raising partial stops to under today's low to lock in some profits.

Also, some stocks still look enticing today like $FANG, $TSL, $NBL, $ABBV, $CLDX, $EGLE, $PLAB, $POT and TKMR. But, let's also not ... - woodman: $TSL - mentioned by @bullmoose within his post above. I bought it yesterday. Looks similar to $JKS, which @DAN mentioned last night. I almost bought that one instead.

- Mortenzen: $TSL - I was not expecting yesterday's move down although earnings call is today. I guess today will make or break our VS theory. Call is at 08:00am EST, I'm going to watch closely pre-market.
- Mortenzen: $TSL - The stock was up about 5% in pre-market earlier today but seems it's going to open flat finally. I'm trying to find out how $TSL did earnings-wise but can't find any info so far. Anyone has the numbers?
