- Henry: $WAB up on strong earnings. 22% sales growth. They get their sales from the railroad industry, so those companies must have money to spend. However all the major rail stocks have terrible charts. long: long term

- Henry: @DAN $WAB Sorry I had to run an errand. My interpretation of the chart (jaded because I own it) was that a break out on the weekly was a bullish pattern in this market. If I need to adjust my subjective analysis of a chart because yours is better, I need to understand what you see. You were blasting through a lot of stocks, as you frequently do, and maybe you didn't want to slow down to discuss any particular chart, maybe you don't like the volatility it had from February till now or that it has gone up 17% I would say it's also a monthly breakout and it's starting a new channel higher than it's last two channels. https://imgur.com/gallery/fDKH8y5

- debeers: $WAB-No matter what sector in the industrial space goes up, any large equipment will be moved by railcars. In this space few do as well as the builder of railcars. The urgency to move equipment leads to more railcar tip overs as the rails are so far behind in maintenance it is ridiculous. $WAB has huge growtrh potential and the insti participation and extremely low short interest as well as consistently meeting earnings expectations is being reflected in the charts. LONG

Everyone believes Congress will prevent the rail strike. No one is mentioning how the 24% wage increase will impact profits. long $WAB and $CNI for years.

AAR used to publish weekly data, now you have to go to the individual rail sites. CSX is down 4% UNP -11% and it's way more than just coal. I've been long CNI and Wab forever.

- champ: $WAB @ $77.37 on the close --- However if you look at the chart, this stock is up around $10.00, off of the earnings LOD, that was just 2-days ago, on Thursday, 10/31. This was an after earnings entry, watch for a new spec entry. Swing traders are already up around 15%.

- Henry: @champ $WAB and $TRN have poked above the 200 dma, $GBX is still lagging. Railroads are shipping more petroleum but less of everything else, especially coal. I think Cramer is right, coal is going away as an energy source in the US. The different colors are different years. There is a predictable seasonality maybe having to do with holidays?
- champ: @Henry $WAB $TRN $GBX --- Thanks...and I'm also guessing that the reason that these might be moving-up is... because of the China, Phase -1 trade deal, looks like that it is going to be signed. Could be the same positive reason, that the markets are moving-up, is my guess. Plus that rate cut was positive and so were the latest economic reports. Energy and the retail sectors are also moving-up because of what China said yesterday, that everything is on track, for the signing but still looking for a signing location.

I have been posting on this stock, along with others in the forum for weeks now. This could be a nice low risk entry now for others, for a nice swing investment position...but there is never entry... without risk. See my post, to @Dan, on my reason why, I entered this positions on 3/7. .......Another reason is...this stock was added to the S&P-500 on 2/27. My short-term target is around 79-$80 and the YTD high was $115. A China, deal will be positive for all Rails and also service and equipment suppliers, like this one. - Henry: $WAB $GE A merger of sorts with GE rail and WAB. WAB shareholders retain 49.9% of the company, GE gets cash and 9.9% GE stockholders get 40.2% WAB has been flying as of late. Down $2 in premarket. I am long WAB Not sure how I feel about this.
