From a seasonality standpoint, i re-iterate that the upcoming Q on 1/27 should be strong IMO.

$WHR - retested the 40-week SMA last week. The stock has been trending higher since putting in a double bottom late last year. - Mitchell: 11/18/2019 Trading Notes $AZO - breaking out to new highs, watch to see if the strength continues into the end of the week $LYFT - watch to see if shares can breakout above the $46 level $NTR - setting up for a retest of the $47.50 support level $WHR - nearly a 15% decline from the highs, now closing in on a retest of the 200-day SMA $WYNN - printed a bullish engulfing candlestick to snap a 4-day losing streak $XLP - the consumer staples ETF closed above the $61.50 resistance level, but closed off of the highs. Keep an eye on this ETF to see if there is follow through this week after 2 and a half months of consolidation.

- Mitchell: 6/20/2019 Trading Notes $AAL - bearish engulfing candlestick printed today on the retest of the downtrend line on heavy volume. Earnings aren't expected until 7/24. $GE - shares have been consolidating over the last few months; now it finally closed above the $10.50 level. Earnings are due out on 7/18. $GLD - watch the gold ETF to see if it can close above $130 on a monthly basis. This would confirm a long-term major breakout that could setup for a measured move to $150. $WHR - shares have been on a tear since the May bottom, now seeing some sellers step in near the $140-$145 resistance area. Earnings are due out on 7/22.

Yesterday was a classic Mutual Fund Monday with funds buying up the China embroglio. They have deep pockets and can afford to be "early." Unfortunately, Turnaround Tuesday appears to have traders on the ropes again. Watching for a similar outcome might get a hand-slapping, or a bear mauling. - DrScience: $WHR Raymond James and RBC downgraded Whirlpool to "Market Perform" and "Underperform" respectively, and $JPM raised their PT to $140 after yesterday's miraculous move on earnings. Stock is holding at the 200 DMA on the latest analysts' calls. And... on the tariffs front: The company announced a 6% price increase. (Who said tariffs neither restrict competition, nor raise prices to consumers?)
- debeers: $HD vs $WHR-In the dumb and dumber area we have those selling $HD because of $WHR and who never listened to what $WHR was telling you. $WHR sales in the United States were UP 6% y/o/y. Outside of the US was hideous. $HD doesn't have anything outside of the United States. Get a grip.
