Wide $270-370 trading range around the 200d above at $316, with juicy call premiums.

- joelsg1: $TSLA Idiotic tariff uncertainty about copper hurts $TSLA and other EV makers which use copper in batteries, wiring and rotors, about 80-100 lbs. per vehicle, also in Powerwalls. Obvious US-based copper supplier is $FCX, which Stifel raised to $56, but not up today. Maybe it's more TACO unless/until the Courts block this overreach. But in the meantime, think $TSLA could surprise with commentary on E call 7/23 now that Q2 delivery numbers are out and with strong demand in Q3 for the new Y everywhere, Grok being added to vehicle and with pull-forward in US with $7500 credit expiring 9/30. Now below 200d toward lower part of $275-375 range where I may sell downside puts and/or add.

But you're right on the mark with the copper needed for EV vehicles. The passed budget bill, in addition, is pretty unfriendly to green energy in general and EV vehicles specifically. Combined with tariffs and Musk's off the rails relationship with Trump....

I have a large position. up 4%. was red few dAYS AGO. I see a golden cross if you will, but the feud is ridiculous.
- joelsg1: @Motorman $CRWD $TSLA Oh yes, still my 2nd largest holding. Posted my strategy frequently, it's in a $275-375 range, I generate income by regularly selling covered otm covered calls against long shares when price approaches top of that range, and I buy calls and sell downside below that range puts at the bottom. I've made more $$ with that pretty aggressive strategy than with many other investments, and it keeps me in the stock which is a play on autonomy, AI, energy and robotics, where the puck is going.

- Cjauger: $TSLA delivered 384,122 cars in the second quarter, down 13.5% from the 444,000 delivered in the second quarter of 2024 but very close to the Wall Street consensus estimate of about 386,000 vehicles. It was the worst quarterly decline in the company's history. Still, the result was better than feared and up from the 337,000 delivered in the first quarter of 2025. Tesla stock jumped 5.6% in premarket trading.

- joelsg1: @Mike2025Trader $TSLA Just back to 200d. Bryn Talkington nailed the range $250-350. Keep long the stock. Buy calls at lower end of range, sell upside @$390-400 covered calls at higher end. That's what I'm doing for now.

I view it as only short term play, He has alienated the left and we are in very polarizing times(not saying they didnt deserve it) that they are not going to purchase his cars going forward (for the most part) Anyways I believe the public should have no idea whether you are right or left as a company, this way no one is boycotting you.

- Bert953: @joelsg1 $TSLA Cybertruck reminds me of vehicles from an old sci-fi movie, maybe Woody Allen's sleeper or could be Logan's run. I saw one in the Tesla showroom in Westbury LI. Its pretty roomy and has 9 cameras. Random owners I've asked seem to love it. Didnt check out the cargo carrying capacity. Also Teslas eat tires since they are so heavy.

- joelsg1: $TSLA Tight into Austin robotaxi launch Sunday, which I think is a sell the news event which could depress stock into next auto sales numbers due 7/2 which could be a good buy point perhaps around $300 (implied move into next Friday about $21 which is how I derive $300 buy point), as auto sales are becoming less germane to the future of this company which is AI driving, robots and energy which is booming. Next E report 7/23. Posted that I followed Gary Black who sold at $358, he sold all, I just trimmed above his sale price but still large long from way below. Musk posted on X clean drug test report, but of course that test if true only looks back up to the 2 weeks it takes for ketamine and MDMA to clear the system, but boosting stock. For those keeping count, Musk started criticizing the tax bill just over 2 weeks ago.

He did hint that cars could drive themselves from nearby factory to Austin rollout, and soon deliver themselves to buyers (while others charge delivery and destination fees). Amazing.
