$CRMT -- holding the 50-day MA...but really thin. Watch this. Maybe next week.
$MTH -- One breakout that worked.
Things not to buy:
$ALGN -- This is not an opportunity.
$MSFT -- might rebound...or not.
$LAD -- like water pouring out of a garden ho ... - issues: Not any posts on $LAD like there used to be. In this IBD industry group #6 (This amazing considering how bad the charts are- but Group 6 as in SIX!) are $CVNA $KMX $CRMT. But not long ago Dan mentioned $GM. Then there's Ford $F ! Cramer said he was going to buy his wife an F-150 for Christmas. Ho ho. NP on any.

- jwstich: $LAD, $GPI,$SAH, $CRMT @deBeers, @bRobert Yesterday these stocks were down as a group (IBD #9), $JPM recently raised $LAD to $175.00. To me this looks like nothing specific other than maybe raising cash. Do you feel likewise? Would you Nibble now? Thanks

- vfr777: @DAN $CRMT You had posted good stuff on CRMT on 12/05 but today it fell below the 50 day trading at $42 and relative strength is falling as well as obv. Based on October highs, I think support could be $41.82. Is shorting this stock a good idea if it breaks down below the $41.82?
- DAN: @vfr777 $CRMT I would suggest that you not short CRMT under any circumstances because of the illiquidity. If the stock were to start moving higher, it could do so in a hurry. And you'd be scrambling to cover your short. So I think shorting is out of the question -- just too risky. As for buying it -- the stock really needs to move back above the 50-day moving average, and ultimately above $45. So for now, I think just standing aside is the best action to take.

- DAN: $CRMT -- Gan, the used car numbers are very bullish. I read that they are at record highs. One stock that's definitely worth a look is America's Car-mart (CRMT). It's pretty illiquid on some days, but it's coming out of a shallow cup & handle. Steady growth in sales over the last year, and earnings numbers are strong over the last 2 quarters. Price target on this would be $50 (it's at $46 now)

- marty76: $CRMT most stocks within Worden's MG745 Auto Dealership down while $CRMT is in a volatility expansion. Does that mean money is coming out of other stocks in this group and rotating into CRMT?
- rainlily: Hi Callalilly - No thoughts on KAR. $CRMT and $KMX are not really in the same biz - they are retail and not wholesale. I like the "beauty index" - wish I owned more of it. $EL hasn't seen the 50-day ema since September.
- jng369: Market It was only down a bit on S&P, and up for Dow. But, many stocks did very badly.. and the action across was a lot worse than what people see.... Examples: $VIP - down 5% $CRMT - down 7% $TNS - down 4% $EXPE - down 5% $GFA - down 8% $ININ - down 16% Those are small/mid cap stocks which have been doing very well for the last few months.. all had good earnings.. but, looks like that there were some very aggressive sellers... I was able survive minimal lost (not even 1%) for the two big down days on Friday and Monday, but yesterday really killed me.... Many of the good momemtum stocks were crushed... I am very cautious right now. John
- jng369: $RHT,WHR,$TUP,MMM,$CRMT,AAPL,JCG,TAM,$SNDK,WAG Each of those stocks gapped up by at least 5% over the last month due to some news event. But, all of them now traded back to their gap up level. If market shows any life today, many trades will be chasing those stocks to undo their mistakes of not owning those.
- jng369: Yes for a starter position. Among the things that I bot today, I like TNX the best. I sold my PCX position already for a quick 3% flip. But holding $WLT a bit longer because WLT's fundamentals are better. $CRMT that I bot last week is also doing pretty good. Making all time high today. To be honest, I ran out of money in my trading account today. But, I will reduce my positions before I go to bed.
- jng369: BEXP I alerte on friday. Made 9% move on Friday and another 6% move today. But, unfortunately, I sold it on Friday. I think that it is a market to buy on breakout now... so, again, I am very bullish on $TNS and $CRMT John

$CRMT - Great earnings, but it is not moving much, again, I do not like things that do not move in my favor. If it sits still for few more days, I'll put the cash to somewher else.

$NVDA - Great earnin ... - jng369: $CRMT For those who like to chase breakouts, $CRMT is a great one. - Technical: Broke out 3 month short term resistance, as well as resistance from last Sept to new time high $24. - Fundamental: Not only beat the estimates, but also have a YoY increase on sales and gross margin as well. Feedback?
