- bill52: $MPWR this has pulled back once again to a low risk entry point. its been trading in a sideways channel for little over the past year with pretty big zig zag swings. I've had luck with this on a couple of the past moves and it appears to be setting up again. it also pays a small div (.81%) as a bonus. Nothing fancy and its been relatively predictable especially in this insane market. Again, your defined risk is low at this moment. check in out and see what you think.

One stock to watch this morning is Equinor ($EQNR). The stock is breaking out in pre-market trading. @Docoof mentioned it this morning, noting that it's trading at its all-time high. The stock was mentioned over the weekend in IBD as one of 5 stoc ... - bill52: $MPWR I believe @DAN mentioned this one earlier in the week as an idea for a stock trading in a range. I've been watching it and its hitting the low end of the range today. Looking at its pattern over the last 6 months it has these flush out days prior to a turn up. History is never a guarantee of future performance, but this is in my opinion is getting into a low risk entry area as the intraday low point in this rnage is at 151. my stop will be at 148 to give it a little room off the prior low points.

- DAN: Closiong down our Monolithic Power Systems ($MPWR) tradd for a small loss. Our current stop is at $299 and the stock is trading at $313. However, today's trading action is a big negative -- a slight gap higher, and then a high volume reversal to likely fall below Friday's intraday low. That is a "bearish engulfing pattern," which is not something you want to see on your chart. Now, it doesn't mean that the stock is necessarily going to fall -- it might ultimately hold at $300. But, given this price activity, this is not a stock that I expect to move higher anytime soon. As such, it's just not something I want to hold...and not something I would encourage you to hold. We all make our own decisions, but I've just told you mine. Sorry this didn't work out. --Dan

- Ajax4Hire: @DAN $ASO $BIDU $MPWR $TPX $TWLO $VICI $Z $AMD $AMD cross the line this morning. I am not going to wait, starting my long-term $AMD position now. Also note: $AMD has just released new Ryzen processors which are better than the best $INTC has to offer. Additionally, $AMD will release new GPUs(Graphic Processor Unit) that will work better together(tight integration between CPU and GPU) than standard $NVDA GPUs. Not that the $NVDA graphics cards are not awesome, just that $AMD can architect a complete system that provides better overall ka-pow when it comes to a gaming system. All this means that the new, best gaming system will be $AMD based. Just in time for Christmas.

It's still forming the right side of a base -- at least that's the way it looks to me. But there is an art to chart reading. It's not possible (for me) to quantify each trade (and I understand that you are not asking for that; you're just asking for a bit of clarification/explanation.) And I could be correct in my interpretation of the chart and the trade will work...or I might be early and we get stopped out. Does this help, robbie? Dan

$MPWR -- Active trader from 11/4 @335.40. Pullback on huge volume. 11/16 low was on a hammer day. Good close. Never fell below $300 since. Stop would be below $300.
$TWLO -- added to active trade list @ 300. Holding at 50-day MA.
$VICI -- Order ... - DAN: The $MPWR trade was stopped out this morning at $299. However, the stock is rebounding and is back above $301. If you happen to still be long, I'd suggest just keeping the position open...with a stop. The stock is now down 5 of the last 6 trading days and volume has been declining. So we could see a bit more of a rebound. However, even if the stock does rebound a bit, the damage has been done and there will be a lot of supply overhead due to traders having bought the top and wanting to sell if they can get their money back. Frankly, we would be in that group. If the stock rebounds, then consider selling into strength. Don't look for the stock to rally much. I just don't think it's gonna happen. --Dan

I dipped a toe and bought quarter position with a stop at 390 below the 50d MA (4.5% potential loss). I like this company. Revenue for last quarter was +54% YOY. EPS 56% YOY also beating estimates by 56%. Good fundamentals.

- issues: I bought a starter position in $QCOM today. The chart looks very similar to $MPWR but is less expensive than MPWR. These are in IBD group 26 along with (and I have been holding for months) THE BEST $IPHI. We continue holding IPHI. Also in the group is $NVDA. We have a limit order in for NVDA to come to papa! Drop baby drop...
