  • woodman: @lanedra $XLP $CPB $SJM $CLX $CHD $GIS $K $KMB $PM $KHC $WMT $CAG $TSN - I'm not hungry. I'm essentially fully in cash and standing out of the way, except for short duration 3x ETF trades. That said, if you have strong hunger pangs, be sure to use stops/position size to protect. But I trust nothing here. These are major support levels that are failing. There will be sudden rebounds, but cash suits me right now.

  • lostsheep: $CHD $ATVI took these two trades yesterday. Both similar in setup and both report on the 29th. Not optimal charts but both peaked there heads above the 50 on the prior day and were rejected and both pulled back near the 20 and bounced which is where I entered. Each respected the 50 intraday and held above. Macd crosses on the daily's indicate a little fishing in the hole. Neither are high fliers and have something to prove by clearing yesterdays highs.

  • Forexpro: Re: $PYPL Hi, Friends, Stairstepping higher; like a number of stocks, the stochastics are crying out for a pause if not a pullback, but price action trumps indicators. Stochastics can stay overbought for quite a long time. Still, I'm going to trim a bit here with the intention, or at least the hope, of adding back around the 103 area. I did let some $CHD go at 73.45, which has been neither the day's best nor worst level. Hope your day is going well; all the best!
  • champ: @CraigReynolds $CHD ----- This is a wait and watch the news, on this stock because there is M&A news and that could have also been another reason, for that drop on Friday, off of the ATH turn...that had above average #Red volume. Also $BAC, upgraded this stock from #underperform-to-only-Neutral, not really a strong upgrade. .......So far this stock has only turned off of the ATH. Traders and investors, will take profits if it drops any further. The average rating is only a hold on this stock. ........Only watch for stocks with strong news, not weak news. .......Think about adding to one of your existing positions, that is working.....but only off of #market-timing, for an add-on entry...or sector-timing, off of New news. .......For me, this stock is not even worth watching....and is not a very good risk reward candidate, at all..IMO. LOL
  • CraigReynolds: @champ $CHD $BAC #Red #underperform-to-only-Neutral #market-timing Yes, understand. Focusing on current holdings as they work. Looking to sell when they turn. May be today or a day or two. Watching news that effects sectors I'm getting laser focused on my plan and working plan until it stops working. Ready to turn when needed. Able to watch my small number of holdings instead of market. Tired of following the wind. Watching SMM for ideas, a lot of great traders. So many different trading processes that work but you can't work them all which has been one of my problems. Doing own research, news, fundamentals and reasons to buy or discard. Looking for singles at this time. They add up to runs. Tired of a couple of singles, then three strike outs. Loosing game. See you in Forum and thanks for your continuing helps and ideas.

  • Forexpro: @Forexpro $CHD Hi, Friends, This came up in conversation back on Mar 7. Since then, it has had one modest pullback that might have been buyable, although I didn't add there. It has since continued to chug higher, but yesterday's close wasn't great and it's beginning to look a touch extended. I'm going to scale back a bit, looking to add at 67.25, and with more gusto at 65.90, when and if. Earnings aren't due for a while (Apr 24, quoth ToS). The E-mini futures, which were down very slightly (2.50 points) when I began watching a while back are now up even more slightly (by a buck, to 2824). Best of luck today!

  • Diana2010: SMM SURVEY - I am going to almost all cash in my trading account but I will not liquidate my longer term account. I hold conservative #dividend payers in my long term account such as $CHD, $DIS, BGS.... I tend to add to these positions when the stocks are down and hold for the long term. I have both $CAT and VALE. Since I bought these as a play on China/Latin America recovery, I will probably hold these also even though they are in my trading account. Undecided on $AIG, $SWI, $MPC, FIVE. I sold $ACI, $FIRE, $RTI, $FEIC today and will not invest proceeds until after the election.
  • wesley: $CHD I like selling shares of Church And @Dwight on strength with a down side target of the $50.00 area as the stock appears to be reaching for that mid April level. $CHD looks intent on testing August 7 lows and from its current price action I don't believe they will hold if only fractionally. I want my stop tight just above $52.00 in case the trade moves against me.
  • Henry: $CHD Filled the gap on 9/13 and has since broken the down trend line. http://tinyurl.com/8ezax9a The weekly chart is more compelling than the daily. Better earnings next month would definitely help. This is a long term, low maintenance hold for me in a defensive sector. Was it really a shot across the bow? Not if you look at a 10 year monthly chart. For you mo mo guys, this is not your kind of stock. @Henry
  • Diana2010: $ETP - I started noticing that the defensive stocks were being bought yesterday also. The discount retailers, $CHD, $KMB, $MO, PM, ect. were all trading up. Definitely a change of character in the market from the strength we had in $KOL, $XOP, $XME, earlier in the week. The change is definitely worth noting and a reason to tightening up stops.
  • Henry: $CHD filled the gap from Aug 20th, bounced off the 150 ema yesterday. Got some for my IRA
  • scorpino: $CHD what about the shot across the bow 8/7, the 50d rolling over, and the lower highs since july?
  • Henry: $CHD Good question grasshopper. I may be a point early as it hasn't really broken the downtrend line. The shot across the bow did not break the 200 ema (unlike Aug 2011) and it has gone up on two mediocre market days. So far this week's candle looks like a hammer. I reserve the right to be wrong.
  • TD: $COST - @ 97. Ready to start an upside volatility expansion on the daily chart. Six weeks of high basing, a @textbook expansion right off the 50 day average. • bglee: $CHD - Could this rally above $53, the prior resistance? Wall Street is expecting central banks easing (the Fed, China and ECB) like a dog getting a whiff of raw meat in the air. $CHD is the dry cracker stock that you hoard when hurricane is roaring offshore. • grazpa: $CHD @dagdog @scorpino @henry I've mentioned this one since April and twice just last week because it's been working for me, has been fairly predictable, and no one has ever commented. All it took was #Cramer mentioning it. Since I'm not a big trader like some, and certainly could use the advice and reinforcement (after all, isn't that one of the reasons for the forum?), it would be nice to get some feedback on posts. Even a simple "yeah, looks right" or "I disagree because...". Sorry for the venting.
  • dagdog: $CHD @grazpa, sorry for missing your posts...it's impossible to comment on all of them and many of mine go "un-noticed" as well. The only reason this popped on to my screen was because it was mentioned late night in the forum. I don't follow all the stocks that #Cramer mentions much anymore. Try not to take it personally when your posts don't get commented on...and keep at it. Good for you for being in this stock, you've been way ahead of the gang! It has been working and continues to work but now it's in sideways consolidation. As long as it stays above the 50 sma you are good! Have a great night and keep posting!! Best, D.
