- gamiller: China - We've been monitoring the Coal and Metal Mining industries, among others, yet I haven't seen mention of Chinese securities in these industries. Perhaps there are just too many tickers to keep track of. Here's three that had significant breakouts yesterday: CHINA - Up 9% today on breakout from a loooooong #squeeze. $CHNR - Up 9.9% today on a breakout from a volatility #squeeze. $YZC - Up 6.9% today after yesterday's breakout from a #squeeze. EDIT: I suffered from temporary amnesia when I posted this, forgetting that $TCK is a China play in the Metals Mining industry

Next, Industrial Metals and Mining [MG134]! Of those stocks, what's been working the most? $JRCC (UP 30%); NCOC (UP 22%); $CHNR (UP 21%); $ACI (UP 17%) $BTU (UP 16%); MEE (UP 15%)...the list goes on and on.
Number 3 on the Hit Parade: @Silver [ ... - HorseTrader: smugglers - No worries mate. Look at for successful employment of this strategy. On Oct 6, I announced on this forum to short $CHNR as close to $50 as you could get with a stop around $50.50. You could have gotten $49 that day, Day 3 of the exhaustion. See the pattern playing out? From there you just ride it down until the shorts start to cover. In this case, it made it all the way back down to $15!

You might recall I recently highlighted a short sell opportunity in CHNR. If you look at , after making its 3 day run from $14 to $50, on Oct 3, you'll see this exhaustion pattern appearing. Oct 4, the stock couldn't gain any more ground. All the ... - lugnut: Hi @Fitz and friends.......went long $BHP recently and am adding on pull backs....as Evan knows, I'm a heavy metalist..LOL. The China stocks are blissfully nuts....but I am treating them like tech 2000....KUN, $STV, $CHNR, RCH Still long $VLO BA $MTW OSK $WMS etc More later....doing $DD and managing positions...UP ARROWS to all!
- HorseTrader: @Bob - Remember, when I refer to "short", I'm not talking about timeframe. I'm talking about the reverse side of the trade than we usually talk about. I'm inviting people to trade it on the short side. Absolutely no way I would go long this stock. After a rocket makes a long candle like $CHNR has, it's ripe for short positions $IF your broker can get the shares. That's always the challenge. I've tried them in the past, but the broker couldn't get the shares available to short. This stock is ripe to fall back to $20. That's over a 100% profit from here.
- barb: @Dan -- yes $CHNR was Rev's Stock of the Week. Too bad I didn't jump in.
- Dan: OK. Thanks. $CHNR is a small capper. Easy to push higher. If you happen to be long, my advice is to book that profit and move on. Don't use the "hope strategy" -- commonly used...but rarely for profit.
- Mary: $CHNR - sotw. They tend to fall FASTER than they go up. I can't trade 'em. Unless he picks a larger cap, which is rare. Forget that, even then I can't trade 'em. Hats off to him, though. He found a good one in a hot sector. Made quite a few on his blog money. Ethical? I can't say.
- cgendro1: This was posted on RM in CC. I had a good laugh: I think $CHNR, along with the rest of these Chinese companies are all on Chinagra and the hype will wear off soon.
- Bob: $CHNR $EFUT -- Ken Shreeve (sp?) content director for IBD content, on #CNBC warning against these two companies as having very week fundamentals and to stay away from them.

- Mary: $CHNR - Rev's sotw (stock of the week). Think it's ok to let that cat out of the bag as there was much talk about it on the blog and he mentioned it in one of his columns. Nice trade. That one worked out well for alot of folks over there. GO RED SOX!!!! See you all tomorrow. P.S. Rev is sort of, dare I say, bullish and @Dan is cautious. This is a bit of a flip. What does it mean? Me thinks more selling.
- HorseTrader: CHNR So, at what point and with what signal does $CHNR become an extremely lucrative short? That's a pretty long ($11) wick. I've always followed the rule of not #shorting a rocket, but soon it will run out of fuel and it's a long fall back to earth! I'm thinking a much lower volume soft climb back up near $50?
