  • rj7150: @Bridget $IBN I have traded in and out of this for about a year. IBN went down on some sort of negative news the end of January. I sold out then and purchased it back a few days ago. If you like Indian banks, check out $HDB.

  • Neil375: $SSLT - Good Morning. Just posting the tickers of a few stocks from India. They've been in an uptrend. I think they're rather speculative. With that said, they might be interesting to some here. $IBN $HDB $TTM $MMYT
  • hooked1: $IBN - Wow, up 7%, 12% in the last week! What's going on in Indian banking?
  • vaydaj: $HDB, $IBN Any Mentorites following Indian stocks? $HDB, in particular, seems to be turning the corner on the daily chart. It is a volatile stock. I know there have been scandal and tax issues in India, but these two look like they are making a turn. I know #Cramer favors IBN. Anyone with knowledge in this area?
  • DavidM: $IBN I have made money on this in the pre SMM days, but have not been keeping much of an eye on it lately. It looks like I missed a @textbook #squeeze and that it might be worth keeping an eye on for an opportunity to jump in.
  • Catwoman: Monday - BichonBob: You are entitled to your opinion, but I gladly disagree about @Tim Seymour. I have made a lot of money off of trades he advocated, including: $PBR, $IBN, $BBD, $VALE, $BHP, $SAN, and those are just off the top of my head. I'm sure I could find more examples of making double digit gains on these foreign stocks--and not just once! I've ridden the channel on Petrobras and others several times. Frankly, nobody offers better advice on foreign investments. I recommend taking better notes. Sincerely, @Catwoman ;~D
  • Catwoman: ...
Over the years, I've learned that @Karen Finerman trades strictly on valuations/fundies and sometimes on momentum, just like #Cramer. @Karen is an expert in M&A and bank valuations. I've learned that @Tim Seymour is an expert on global economies a ...
  • Catwoman: $SAN - $IBN - $BNS - $BBD (Foreign Banks)

$SAN - Remember Banco Santander-Chile from @Dan's lessons yesterday? He said that $BAC was a better buy, becuz $SAN was over extended and due for a pullback...Well, $BAC was down 3.5% today, and $SAN was ...
  • Catwoman: ??? For @Dan: In last nite's video, you said that $KOL is gappy "becuz it trades globally" . . . I am guessing that means that all global stocks are gappy? (I have a lot of foreign stocks, like $BHP, $PBR, $BBD, $IBN, and others)...So, are you saying that this "excess gappy-ness" is to be expected from $ALL GLOBALLY-TRADED stocks? I remember you stating in a freebie video that "all gaps have to be filled" (sort of like the vacuum theory of abundance), So, am I leaping too far in "assuming" that gaps do not necessarily need to be filled/retraced, if its a globally-traded stock? (this is a question I asked last nite, but received member answers about $KOL instead of about GAPS IN GENERAL) Thanks ;-D

  • Catwoman: Good morning, @Steve. Dittos from Sacramento, CA! Question for @Dan and gang: I'm a newbie. Created a foreign bank stock basket back in the summer and have sold all of them for nice profits and bought them all back again on dips-nice performers! Was wondering whether anyone else is trading these: $IBN (India), $TD (Canada), $BBD (Brazil), $SAN (Chile) -- and still looking for one in Australia. . .Any input?
  • Catwoman: $IBN, $BBD, $SAN, $TD -- Aporn: Thanks for reply...#Greece is to scary for me! Good luck with that. Strictly looking at emerging mkts (India and Brazil) and stronger than U.S. economies (Canada and Australia). Does anyone trade these stocks? Have any recommendations for Aussie bank?

  • geronimo: @Bob, I exited 90% of my positions this morning into the strength. I just got too lucky and didn't want to push it. Exited all of $WFC @ 15.7 $JPM @ 26.09 & half @ 25.84 Exited all of $MS @ 22.84 Exited 2/3 position of $BRCM @ 20.67 I plan to keep $IBN, $FCX & remainder of $BRCM for long-term. Back @ 75% cash and don't plan on any more trades today. I was hoping to make 5% over the next few days, instead made 18% in a day, so took my gains and will buy "good" values & charts later this week. For now, I am clueless. Too scared to go short(news triggers) OR long(overbought). However, I am looking to buy $CELG puts (small position) though (it is at 47.08 now). Good luck all! Keep your head and stop-losses in place, will make you money :)

Anyway, I closed out $IBN and $BRCM too today. I WANT to be long, but these moves are just INSANE. now 99% cash in trading account.

  • geronimo: ...
$FCX, $IBN & BRCM(From few days ago) are more longer term plays than trades. I exited $FCX at 42.1 on Thursday and wanted back in. I believe the stock has a lot more room to run, but 42 was tempting, so took the gains and got in today @ 38.85
