  • SADL: $TC 2000 @dagdog - Hi, it looks like Worden has solved the message delete problem. Here is what they just sent me; I did as said and it works; I just don't know if they have done for all members or just to my account: 'We have emptied out the messages on your account. This can take up to 1 hour to show up properly on our servers. If after an hour you are currently logged into the system, then please log out and back in, then everything should show up properly. If we can help you with anything else, please let us know.' Yves
  • SADL: $TC 2000 @Dagdog - Hi, since I have the same problem, I submitted it to Worden; here what they just replied: 'Thanks for writing. We will send this over to our developers for correction. We apologize for the inconvenience. We will let you know when the issue has been resolved. Thanks' i will let everyone know when they clear the issue Yves
  • SADL: $TC 2000 @DAN - I noticed on the weekend videos you were still having problems with $TC 2000. For a couple of years, I have used this file ftp://nero.worden.com/TC2000reset.exe to reset my $TC 2000 every couple of weeks. This was supplied to me by Worden and it works perfect. Just close $TC 2000, download and run the file and restart. This should work. Note: you will have to reenter your login information Let me know if it works. Yves
  • mainesurf: $TC 2000 - I sent an email to Worden yesterday and I received this response this morning: Thank you for writing. • SADL: $TC 2000 @peterd - I reported the same problem some months ago and they sent me a link to the following executable program ftp://nero.worden.com/TC2000reset.exe . Close tc2000, run the program and reopen. it works every time. Good luck
  • jolinla: $CREE @LouieQuag I think we're in sync except my goal is to see where it goes before earnings and to get out by then. I don't see it rising much more than 67 by then but, of course, I don't know. As I recall the threads on this stock, 67 was the poin ...
  • Starcircler: I'm new to the site and am enjoying reading others' insight. With respect to $CLF, I'm not following the analysis referring to the 200 DMA. The 200 SMA on my @charting (Worden $TC 2000) is still down trending @ 21.40. The 50 SMA is up trending @ 24.30 with the stock trading @ 25.00. Could you have been referring to 50 SMA vs. the 200 SMA ? An indicator I use to help me gauge a change in direction is the Parabolic $SAR (AF Increase=.02; $AF Max=.20). With respect to $CLF, today's reading is showing downward pressure @ 27.11; thus a good bit of overhead to overcome before a change in direction is signaled. Your thoughts, please.....

  • woodman: $IWM Support/Resistance - Hi @Ray. What source do you used for pivot points? TC2000 gives different values and I suspect $TC info is stale.
  • woodman: Support/Resistance - I just noticed that TC2000 and $V Charts are now giving identical values. $TC is notoriously out of whack in the morning. And I pay for that service! I have to give them an earfull!

  • Aragorn: 6% - From @Henry $TC 2000 you don't need the formula and if I gave it to you, we would argue about the less than signs and the number of parenthesis. Instead-- Add Bollinger Bandwidth as an indicator. I like it as a histogram, but it's your chart. When it is on the chart, put your cursor over the words Bollinger Bandwidth 20 2 and right click. Click Create a condition The box that says Condition "greater than" can be changed to "less than." with the drop down menu The value @Dan uses for less than is 0.06 (6 percent) It gives you the option to save the scan when you try to close the scan. • msb: METAL - I found the article on $MCP that TimS posted above, very interesting. The $MCP daily chart looks like it might be finding a bottom here if it holds above the 50 dma. $REMX also has an interesting set up that might be a broad W pattern on the daily chart. $TC has the same broad W pattern. I don't currently have a position in any of these. I'll be watching the market today to judge the strength of this move.
  • aloha808: $TC - along the thought about metals and mining, is anyone watching Thompson Creek? Would this be Phase 2 of a #squeeze? -aloha
  • cainoftier: $TC Phase 2 is the pull back. This would be phase 3.
  • bybyjanice: $TC 2000: Just interrupted the session with a message of an upgrade.
  • woodman: $TC - this is still holding the 50 day around 2.95. Volume looks light. There's a line of support that makes the high 2.60s / low 2.70s a more attractive place to buy if given to you. I have a small position.
  • woodman: $TC - I got in and out of this one before earnings with a good result. The chart looked good going into earnings. Today, it dropped below the 50 day, but bounced right off support drawn from 8/15 with a long tail and is now back above the 50 day. Volume looks good. No position, and I'm pretty much cooling my heels today without interest in buying anything, but $TC does look interesting here.
  • woodman: $TC - Precautionary note: For anyone trading this one lately and enjoying the nice move, or thinking of jumping in today, be aware that it reports today after the close. Not sure how I had it down wrong in my notes, but, after adding twice yesterday, I noticed the earnings due date last night.
  • msb: $TC - Thanks for the heads up. It doesn't show the date in Yahoo Finance which is what I usually use to check earnings dates.
  • woodman: $TC - a metals stock that is setting up nicely. It's holding yesterday's high volume move above the 200 day, and now showing a nice hammer as it has moved above it's opening price today. Also, one could argue it's now bouncing off a double bottom (looking back to Nov./Dec. 2008; you can throw in March 2009 too if you like). It has a lot of room to run to its next resistance level if it holds the 50 day and can move above yesterday's high. Though I've sold a lot today, I did take a small position in this one today to get me involved.
  • woodman: $TC - mentioned it earlier today. It's strong day is continuing into the close as it attempts to make a higher high after a tough start this morning. I bought twice today.
  • msb: $TC - It has been on my watch list too. It came up on a $CCI scan a couple days ago. Opened position today.
  • woodman: $TC - I resisted buying a third time in the strong run up into the close. I think it will retrace some tomorrow and offer a better price, perhaps around $3.00.

  • Henry: $TC 2000 uses Silverlight, no crashes here, some days Adobe Flash crashes so much I can't use the FUI. @Aragorn's theory is it is the quality of your video card. I suggest uninstalling silverlight and googling up the $MSFT silverlight download site and reload it. The older versions do not self update.

  • kalysmom: $TC 2000 vs 12 users. I am new to this software, it took me a while to figure out the it now runs on a Mac. I'm looking for any input on all of the potential data this software provides. Also, I am an only trading #options which this software doesn't track, however their tech center told me that he knows many people have discovered a way to track their option portfolio value, despite the disclaimer that they do not support option tracking, he just couldn't tell me because he was unfamiliar on #options. I'm looking for tips on scans, and any sort or display ideas you might have, I know there's several experts out there on this software, any help would be appreciated!
  • Henry: $TC 2000 v12 I don't know how you would input option prices into the software to make the calculation. There is ability to add price paid and number of shares as columns to a watch list, and track position profit and loss, but without the ability to access option prices, I don't see what good that would do. Friday I posted 2 of @Dan's scans under the header Worden Scans. They also have free webinars every couple weeks. They are recorded so you can start working your way through those. I use multiple tabs with different indicators, weekly, daily, and 6 charts/tab for the things I am actively trading. I also have all my watch lists tabbed on my default chart so I can scroll through all of them. Someone was posting Worden scans about a month ago. You could try searching Worden Scan. @Henry
  • Lavrock: $TC 2000 - thank you for posting the two scans. I have started using $TC 2000 and appreciate the help identifying scanning possiblilities.
  • dagdog: $TC 2000 @Henry - When you say that you have your watch lists tabbed on your default chart do you mean at the bottom? How do you "tab" a watch list? I'd love to do this. Can't figure it out. Thanks, D.

  • Henry: $TC 2000 charts I suspect charts $IN the forum would create major memory/storage/download problems. Stockcharts.com allows hyperlinks as well, although I don't think non-members can see all the bells and whistles that the member can. @Hwyflier posts them to his Twitter account. tnt uses stocktwits and @Aragorn and I save the chart to a flickr account then post the link. If you want to do the later: http://www.stockmarketmentor.com/members/forum/openthread.cfm?forum=3&ThreadID=2005#332597 Freestockcharts allows you to create a hyperlink (under tools) which requires silverlight. Don't know if the Mac and smartphone crowd all have silverlight. I like the explanation of your formulas, by the way. @Henry

  • dlylis: Helpful Hint - For those of you using TC2000 v12 I have discovered a column that you can put in your watchlist called Volume Buzz. It shows you increasing or decreasing volume from the average as a percentage. $AMZN, for example, is down .78% today on +44.3% volume. Pretty cool. This is just my way of subtly telling you that this old dog has learned a new trick and has morphed to using the web based $TC rather than the old fart version, Telechart. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZNIKZdoehE

  • Woodward West: $TC 2000 - Does anyone have a preference when it comes to using the "web" version or the "down loaded version"? Any issues? Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks, Leigh
  • brodyborder: $TC 2000 - Not sure if it is a coincidence or not, but I have less problems with the downloaded version. The browser version kept crashing in firefox. It could have been the set up of my browser, however.
  • Woodward West: $TC 2000 - Thanks brodyborder. My gut feeling is usually to go with the down loaded version. I have it up and running now. A lot of set up to do but Scottrade Elite charts are now out of my life forever! Yee Haa
  • fstern601: TeleChart 2000 ver 12 - I saw some remarks about this new version the other day. I installed it on my PC to get accustomed to it, not on my Mac that is my primary machine. Went to a webinar introducing it. It is amazingly powerful and flexible and is completely in the cloud. I can see when you get oriented to it, you will find it vastly superior to $TC 2007 or the more recent $TC 2000 ver 11. There is a one hour webinar introduction and at least several more. It does have your old chart formats etc although every parameter may not come over. Check it out. @Floyd
  • peterd: TC2000 - TC2000 v12 as been out about a month. I would strongly suggest to review wordens videos on v12. I have been using $TC and TC2000 v11 and v12 is a different animal than v11 even. Multiple desktop tabs, new sort lists and scanning list etc ... Takes the time to watch the videos and I believe it is time well spent. I was pissed when the changed from v11 to v12. Now I using v12 and I absolutely love it. Are there some bugs. Yup. I have been calling worden on them. All software has bugs. But overall I like v12. It doesn't even crash anymore like v11 did. Running v12 in a Mac OS X virtual machine on a Linux box. No Windows 7 for me! -Peter

Currently in the low volume/tight range consolidation phase right up against downtrend line and 50 day ma resistance. • dlylis: Scanning - @aragorn, I have added 'volume surge today to' the BB VS scan and I think it has improved the scanning experience. Volume surge is an off the shelf scan in $TC 2007. Worden had an issue with the TC2000 that I was warned off shifting over until it was fixed. The problem, as I understand it is if you are using $TC 2007 and download $TC 2000 to make the shift it will import all scans etc. to the new platform. If, during the learning process, you continue to use $TC 2007 and make changes to scans, etc. $TC 2000 is not capable of accepting incremental changes if you were to refresh the import to $TC 2000. Do we know if that has been fixed? I would like to shift over but was just following that advice, which came from a Worden partner, by the way.
