Alphabet ($GOOGL) is especially critical: strong Cloud and AI execution could ... - traderbren: $GOOGL - Pre-earnings options volume in Alphabet is normal with calls leading puts 9:5. Implied volatility suggests the market is anticipating a move near 5.3%, or $10.11, after results are released. Median move over the past eight quarters is 6.3%. $GOOGL has had a run into earnings and looking a bit extended from the moving averages. That said, it they report blow-out numbers along with a great AI strategy, it could close the upside gap at 202.81 If not, then we're likely to see a test of the 50d. Also of note, the 50d is about to cross up through the 200d (not a strategy for investing) but might foretell a move higher. I have no position going into earnings.

Impressive, and reaffirmed my $TSLA long heading into their robotaxis in Austin next month. $TSLA offering free 1 year FSD to Cybertrucks and Semis coming in volume next year to a highway near you.. Also, a new superfast EV charging station named Gravity has appeared in LA, privately owned and backed by Google Ventures. Np, but I think its perceived search death which caused drop yesteday way overdone.

$AVGO -- a ... - Henry: $GOOGL I've heard talking heads in the last two days say it is a buy and it is a sell. A sell because it will lose market share to AI. I have no trouble believing that. I am using Grok a lot and you can ask it a vague question like what was that submarine movie in the 50's? It will come up with an answer. The theory behind the buy is that it will beat the Feds case for breakup and the Feds may not even pursue the case. It was a long term hold for me, but maybe not much longer.

- joelsg1: $GOOGL in the 1980s there was a low cost electronics store in NY called the Wiz whose tagline was "Nobody beats the Wiz". Ultimately, they expanded right into bankruptcy in the 1990s. Yesterday, $GOOGL announced a $32B deal to buy Israeli cybersecurity firm Wiz. Remains to be seen if the deal goes through (it should) as our Govt. is fighting $GOOGL in court seeking a breakup of search. Ball is in court of $MSFT and $AMZN to keep up, and the TAM is large and getting larger with more data and AI. Do not think this is a negative for $PANW and $CRWD.

Was in Beverly Hills CA last night for dinner with a very old friend, lots of pre-Oscars traffic with streets closed but saw my first Waymo robotaxis driving about with passengers but no driver, have those spinning discs on top, reminding me that $TSLA does not have a self-driving monopoly. Btw, shareholders are turning table on Musk asking him to document 5 things he did for them this week as stock down $50.

Strongly recommend a TSLA FSD test drive if available in your area, bring someone younger, you will be impressed and it's Fun :)

Business guidance seen as in-line, but if AI on end-user device is booming, they would have reported stronger future licensing obligation. Keep in mind $QCOM, $NVDA, $AAPL, $GOOGL, $MSFT, $AMZN all license $ARM. That is saying something. $QCOM: dropped afterhours after earnings report. Growth across the board but the expectation is higher and more in guidance. Growth in mobile is less than the overall business (13% vs 17%). This aligns with $ARM results. Looks like mobile phone buyers are not there to drive the mobile business growth. So far, the earnings have no upside surprises in all the major Semi-mobile-AI business. Will try to trade these name with more neutral strategy than previously more bullish approaches.
