  • Lou: @Wolf $CART - not at all surprising. An Instacart grocery order costs about 30% more than home delivery from a store. Takes a while for naive consumers to catch on. Markups from other sources are also very significant.

  • Lou: @Lavrock $CART- there's a reason to not like the company. We used it until we realized the exorbitant mark-up it charges on purchases. We switched to home delivery from local grocery stores and are saving a bundle. Only a matter of time before $CART goes to zero or close to it.
  • wijimmy: @Lou $CART ... @LOU FYI.....they also deliver from CVS, Costco, BJ's, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Liquor stores, and other numerous other stores that don't offer a home delivery service...
  • Lou: @wijimmy $CART - yes, but the big bang is from Costco/BJs and the other big box stores. As consumers get smarter they find alternatives at great savings. It'll take time, but the growth is going to end. JMO - I invest, in part, on the basis of what my gut tells me about the busines. Here my gut feels a puke coming on.

I wish I was at $ASH, - I am looking forward to todays news !
