I said in SMM that i didn't like that move then(actually I said I hated it) and existed the trade way before earnings. In my mind it was akin to Tiffany selling snap on plastic pearls.Tiffany would never, ever cheapen its brand. Ever.Yuck!!

They can still rescue themselves but a really dumb move on their part. Took Tiffany only as an earnings play. I will be in again only for the Valentines and Xmas Q which isn't the next one.

So jealous of your ladies' Choo collection. My favorite pair has black peau de soir, 5 inch heels with actual enameling on them resembling puzzle pieces outlined in gold wire. Reviewing your retailers a bar bell approach is statistically the best---pick a couple of shoe retailers--say $KORS/$BOOT and $M if only for all the free pub they get with the Thanksgiving Parade and Kohl's $KSS which is amazingly hideous but the lure of Kohl's Cash is like throwing chum in the ocean to tweenagers.

She's a very well spoken and intelligent person. Agree that OXY has to sell the pipeline and focus on EOR (Enhance Oil Recovery) projects in the Permian basin. I rarely sell those stocks unless there is a "red flag" for massive downturn (i.e. Vicki leaving and OXY does not have a succession CEO plan). In fact, I add on weakness if the ER is good. I do have some OXY calls in my trading account. OXY had a nice bounce from today's low with heavy volume, usually a good sign. Good luck debeers.
- debeers: $M-First/$KSS second-When you think retail, think domestic. With all the craziness of internationals like $MOV/$TIF do you really need the aggravation until the tariff situation is worked out?? I can wait on those internationals now. As far as $BOOT is concerned, the concerts sold out and in Cali where hardly a cowboy can be found, the Western wear is selling really well. And don't be fooled with the country means hick thinking. Its based in Irvine, California.

- debeers: $MOV/$FIVE- champ, let me acquaint you with my fave retail stock: First let's look at yours-- $FIVE did really well but it is up a grand total of 22.56% year to date but Movado caught a move of over 20% on earnings and is up 64.75% year to date and has a plethora of cash flow to expand. Even $TIF is up 28.82% but Movado will be the company that benefits most from its small cap status on its taxes. Both are good to go in my opinion and neither needs Scotia Bank to do financing.

If a put you sold got assigned to you on or before ex dividend day close (not pay date) then you would be entitled to receive the divie.

You could be posting from Pitcairn Island in the South Pacific or Baja Mexico. I could also be posting from Quito, Equador(site of the 1st Earth space elevator). Space Elevator is another great math problem.

1.Diamonds have been going up in price 20% per year.
2.Asia can't get enough diamonds.
3.Jewelers have had a rare opportunity to get gold at a discount recentl ... - debeers: TIF/MOV-The estimates are as follows with $MOV, only being covered by 4 analysts, having the revenue numbers the same for average and high figures. MOV-expected to do .32/average per sh/.35 high/ Revenue 135.91MM average/&high TIF-.74 av sh/.77 high. 941.37mm average/975.13 high. Both usually post at 7-8am. The @debeers alter ego aside, I don't comprehend, especially after reviewing the Hugo Boss numbers out of Germany, which are watch driven, how $MOV doesn't hit it out of the park and I have never seen the bar for $TIF set as low as the year over year compares.Lastly, I plan to pare everything back when the wackadoodles come back in September and these last 2 earnings reports will be unfettered by them.
