Not surprisingly, a lot of energy stocks popped up. This one ($KMI) looks interesting to me; I haven't owned it for a while, but I had some success with it in the fairly distant past. It pays a roughly 7 percent divvie, and reported earnings back on Jan 20. All the best!

I like $DT and have owned it in the past but it is really extended. Entries will require fairly tight stops - or fairly loose stops if you have a longer term horizon IMO.

Today it totally broke trend and I got out. Don't know why. $BEAT I also own, but sold half my position. This one is still in trend. Could be a good buy point. I will add when it bumps up a bit.

If your looking for news, check the forum first, it is quicker, many times. There is #alway-a-reson-why a stock drops or bounces.... always...for profits you always need to check out the news daily, before the open or after the close, on your positions, so you don't miss anything. Just saying....smart money investors, always check out the news on there investments....it helps for add-ons and also.. for saving profits. Making profits and saving profits, is all about the news.

- issues: Cramer hyped $PANW, but up 10% today I looked at the competition. First, $PANW has a negative eps of ($2.84). Not my kind of stock. After looking at $VRNT $CHKP $VRSN $VRNT $VDSI I choose $VRNT b/c increasing eps qt/at and good IBD rating of accum 95 b in accum. Hope that helps~

- Michael Lescord: $VRSN Hopefully it will be a few grand day @Tricia... Thanks @Scorpino for the reply, certainly with this input I will be more cautious. Maybe now I will just watch. I was influenced by my trade on Friday of $RENN, buying pretty close to the bottom in the morning, effectively doubling my position. That worked out well despite my misguided euphoria, and made the assumption that it would happen again with VRSN. Maybe I'll watch for a pullback first.
- Michael Lescord: $VRSN Don't describe yourself as an inexperienced newbie. You are learning like I am, perhaps changing from a mutual fund model to a more liquid format like myself. Comments from more experienced members would be appreciated, but not necessary. What is $79 a month for learning like this? Not much, for me this site seems to be "working". $VRSN is pulling back a bit.
- Michael Lescord: $VRSN I haven't seen a lot of discussion about this stock recently in the forum, but it has a slow but steady trend up and made a decent gain on that miserable last session in fact breaking out above the upper BB. Anyone else have ideas on this stock? Plan on taking a small position Monday if it continues with it's 5 day run upside.
