- PackRider: $RIG, bought a starter 1/4 size position this AM on a resistance alert, added just above resistance, still rising. This sector is doing well today and projected. $STWD has been a long-term hold and is ex-dividend 12/28 - annually around 9%. Has been a nice stock for years. Others I hold and add are $RITM and $JEPQ. $JEPQ has good exposure to the magnificent seven. Very few adds, mostly moving options this week counting on Theta to do the work.

- Lou: Sticking with my #Energy positions - $ET $FTI - both very big; $RIG - half of a position; $DVN $WFRD $HAL - lesser. As another #anchor-to-wimdward, added to my #MarylandMuniLadder. Done for the day, I think.

- Lou: Continuing to trim - closed out my $RIG with a small profit. Plan to reenter but still overloaded with energy names.
- Lou: After exiting $RIG on a timely basis this morning, I decided to keep it on my radar, so I purchased a tiny position well below my sale price and STO $9 puts for 10/2/23 for .69.
- champ: The price of WTI-Oil is up again today, up around $91.00 pB......Watch $CVX...and I'm also holding $OXY and $RIG also might work.....Watch for Entries or add-ons, in the Energy-sector. ...And if the price of Oil holds around this price level, then all the Energy companies will have huge or much better earnings.

They expect a supply shortfall of more than 3 million barrels per day. If Opec is correct, it would result in the biggest inventory drawdown since '07."

- champ: @ray $CVX $OXY $RIG ....Those are only #Analysis-projections and they sure have been wrong, so far...and it seems like they just keep spinning all of those Energy numbers....and those politician are hoping that Oil production picks-up, (and so are all Americans) however they #haven't been helping the Energy sector, the opposite has been going on....because of EV's and the Green New Deal.

But whether near or at all time high, oil production isn't lagging and it hasn't been cut off, so to speak, as we often hear anecdotally. And, in addition to oil, other forms of energy production firing away too. Overall, U.S. energy production has been quite high. - champ: @woodman $CVX $OXY $RIG #Not ...Yes it is and on the very first Day, as we all know they stopped the Keystone Pipeline and that would have been adding 950 million barrels per day....as of a year ago....and thats not the only thing that they stopped. ....In your post....it was 12.3 bpd in 2019 and now it is expected to get to 12.76 bpd...if they get that expected number of 850,000 more bpd in 2023, so 5-years ago it was 12.3 mbpd, then the Keystone would have added other 950 million bpd ....so as of now they are under 12 million barrels per day...... ....So it is lagging from 5-years ago....and they stopped production numbers.... and 5 years later to now, production numbers would have been over 15 million barrels per day by now...is the current News that I read. OK ...I'm moving on....and All have a Great-Weekend.

- champ: @woodman $CVX $OXY $RIG #Not....Yes booming, and those energy companies are getting richer Now........your post from Reuters, supported my numbers.....from 2019 to 2023....their was the stoppage, the slow down, where production numbers #did-not -increase like the Energy companies wanted them to....they wanted to increase their production numbers...... .....back in January 2019 they were at 12.3 million barrels per day....and climbing, increasing...however all the gains stopped. ....And it was all over the past News. .....#Have Fun....with your family.

Summer is here, demand should go up, supply is still very restricted. And that's just #oil. #Natural Gas and #LNG is where the real growth is going to be. I'm currently in $DEN, $RIG, $LNG, $FLNG, and high dividend pipeline company $ENB. Lots of other ones look good also. All up from my entries.

I like it a lot more than $SLB $RIG $HAL, etc. I now hold and overfull position as I've been adding. $FTI is finally spreading the news and will participate in a webcast at Barclays CEO Energy-Power Conference on 9/6 at 1:50 EDT. I think that this will generate some more buying interest in this dually listed energy service company. Enjoy the weekend.

Definitely can't win 'em all, and I'm sufficiently frustrated that I know I'd better step back for the day and circle the wagons, rather than do something stupid in attempts to make back the losses I captured. :P

- geothrills: $RIG - Stepping up and out of its post earning's squeeze, nice volume spike.
- geothrills: Pretty discouraging action today, took some lumps and sold quite a bit. Still exposed to $VALE $RIG $FDX $TLRY and $PENN (although pared back a bit on the later two). The $SPY tested its 50 day moving average a month ago for the first time since breaking through in early November, and now we're back down at it again for the second time in two weeks, while failing to make a higher high inbetween. Caution is warranted.
- geothrills: $DKNG holding its breakout despite the SPY drawing down a bit... adding a bit more here. $CGC & $TLRY now above their 8 day EMAs, $PENN and $RIG also up handily while the major averages struggle. Focus on what's working.
